About this therapy
Counselling sessions offer a private, non-judgemental space to talk through what is on your mind and explore practical ways forward.
Sessions can be taken on their own or alongside yoga, meditation and other programmes at the clinic.
What to expect
- Confidential one-to-one sessions
- Practical coping strategies
- Can complement other programmes
A space to talk
Counselling gives you time with a trained listener in a private, non-judgemental setting. You can talk about what is weighing on you, understand your thoughts and feelings more clearly, and work out practical next steps. You do not need to be in crisis to benefit; many people come because life feels heavy, busy or uncertain.
What people often talk about
- Work pressure, exams and burnout.
- Relationship, family and marriage concerns.
- Life changes such as a move, retirement, a new baby or loss.
- Low mood, worry or irritability.
- Living with a long-term health condition.
- Lifestyle change: building healthier habits and sticking with them.
What a session involves
The first session is about getting to know you: what brings you, what you would like to change and how you are coping now. Later sessions may use conversation, reflection, simple worksheets, relaxation and breathing exercises, and small goals between sessions. You decide what you share.
Combining counselling with other care
Counselling can be taken on its own or alongside yoga therapy, meditation, yoga nidra and sleep care. Many people find that working on both the body and the mind helps them feel steadier.
Confidentiality
What you share stays private. The only exception, as in all counselling, is when there is a serious risk to your safety or someone else's. Your counsellor will explain this at the start.

Sessions are provided by the Arogyam Sutra team. Please ask the clinic about the counsellor's background and availability when you book.
Is counselling confidential?
Yes. What you share is kept private, except where there is a serious risk to your safety or someone else's. Your counsellor will explain this at the start.
How many sessions will I need?
Some people find a few sessions enough; others prefer regular support over a longer time. You and your counsellor will review this together.
Can counselling help if I am already on medication?
Yes, counselling often works well alongside medical treatment. Please continue your medicines as prescribed and let your doctor know you are having counselling.
