What is electro homeopathy?

Electro homeopathy, also called electropathy or Mattei therapy, is a system of plant-based remedies developed in Italy in the 1860s by Count Cesare Mattei. Despite the name, it does not use electricity. Mattei believed that certain plant extracts carried a vital "electric" energy and combined them into a set of complex remedies, often grouped by the body systems they were meant to support.

It is different from classical homeopathy, which was developed by Samuel Hahnemann and uses single, highly diluted remedies.

Its status in India

Please be aware that electro homeopathy is not one of the systems of medicine recognised by the Government of India, unlike Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, Sowa-Rigpa and Homoeopathy (the Ayush systems). Indian courts have repeatedly noted this. Arogyam Sutra offers it only as a complementary option for people who ask for it, and never as a replacement for medical treatment.

2. If a remedy is suggested, you are told what it contains, how to take it and for how long.
3. Your progress is reviewed at follow-up visits.

What the research says

There is no reliable scientific evidence that electro homeopathic remedies work for any health condition. Classical homeopathy has been studied more, and NCCIH reports little evidence that it is effective for any specific condition. If you choose electro homeopathy, please treat it as complementary and keep your medical care in place.
