Natural care for everyday aches
Back ache, a stiff neck and sore knees are among the most common reasons adults look for help. The NHS notes that most back pain is not caused by anything serious and usually improves over weeks, and that staying active helps. Long hours at a desk, phone use, weak core and hip muscles, poor sleep and stress can all make everyday pain more likely to linger.
At Arogyam Sutra, pain, spine and joint care brings several natural approaches together in one plan, alongside any treatment from your doctor or physiotherapist.
What a plan may include
- Therapeutic yoga. Gentle, adapted postures and breathing to build strength, mobility and body awareness. See Yoga Therapies.
- Acupressure. Steady finger pressure on traditional points, often used for relaxation and comfort. See Acupressure.
- Acupuncture. Fine, sterile, single-use needles, an approach studied for chronic back, neck and knee pain. See Acupuncture.
- Cupping. Gentle suction cups on the back and shoulders. See Cupping Therapy.
- Ayurvedic oil therapies. Such as kati vasti for the lower back, greeva vasti for the neck and janu vasti for the knees. See Ayurveda Panchakarma.
- Hot and cold applications. Traditional naturopathic packs and compresses.
- Posture and daily-habit advice. Desk set-up, sleeping position, breaks from sitting and safe ways to lift.
Your first visit
Your consultant asks where and when the pain started, what makes it better or worse, how it affects sleep and work, and about any scans, injuries or surgery. Gentle movement checks help shape your plan. You will be shown simple exercises to do at home, because regular movement is one of the best-supported ways to look after your back and joints.
What the research says
The NCCIH reports that several complementary approaches have been studied for chronic low-back pain, including yoga, acupuncture, massage and spinal manipulation, with evidence that some can help some people modestly. Clinical guidelines in many countries now recommend exercise and other non-drug approaches as a first step for long-lasting low-back pain. Results vary from person to person, and nothing here replaces a medical assessment where one is needed.

Frequently asked questions
Can I come if I already see a physiotherapist or orthopaedic doctor?
Yes. Natural therapies can complement physiotherapy and medical care. Please bring your reports and tell both teams what you are doing, so the advice fits together.
Should I rest my back or keep moving?
For most everyday back pain, staying gently active helps recovery more than bed rest. Your consultant will suggest movements that feel safe for you.
Is there anything I should not do before a session?
Avoid a heavy meal just before, wear loose clothing and bring any scans or X-ray reports. Tell the team about blood-thinning medicines, a pacemaker or any recent injury.
Do you treat slipped disc or sciatica?
The clinic can offer supportive natural care for back pain with sciatica alongside your doctor's treatment. Weakness in the legs, numbness in the saddle area or loss of bladder or bowel control need urgent medical attention first.
How soon will I feel better?
Everyone responds differently, and the clinic does not promise results. Your consultant will review your progress with you and adjust the plan.
