Yoga Teacher Training

Training for people who want to deepen their own yoga practice and learn to teach it to others.

About this course

Yoga teacher training at Arogyam Sutra is for students who want to go beyond a regular class: to understand the practices in depth and learn how to guide others through them safely.

Training is led by the Arogyam Sutra team. The syllabus, duration, batch timings, whether classes are held at the clinic or online, the fee and any certificate are shared when you enquire.

What it covers

  • For committed practitioners who want to teach
  • Practice and teaching skills together
  • Course details shared on enquiry

Is yoga teacher training right for you?

Yoga teacher training is for people who want to go deeper than a regular class: to understand why practices are done the way they are, to grow their own practice, and to learn how to guide others safely. Some students go on to teach; others join simply to study yoga more seriously.

You will usually get the most out of it if you already practise regularly, are comfortable with basic postures and breathing, and can commit to regular attendance and home practice.

What yoga teacher training generally covers

Across most recognised programmes, training usually covers these areas. The exact Arogyam Sutra syllabus is shared when you enquire.

  • Techniques and practice. Asana, pranayama, shatkarma (cleansing practices), relaxation and meditation.
  • Teaching methodology. How to plan a class, give clear instructions, demonstrate, observe and adjust safely.
  • Anatomy and physiology. How the body moves, and what to watch for in common injuries and conditions.
  • Yoga philosophy. Texts such as Patanjali's Yoga Sutras and the Hatha Yoga Pradipika, and the eight limbs of yoga.
  • Lifestyle and ethics. The yogic way of life, diet and the responsibilities of a teacher.
  • Practicum. Teaching practice with feedback.

Certification in India and abroad

In India, the Yoga Certification Board (YCB) under the Ministry of Ayush certifies yoga professionals at several levels through its own assessments. Internationally, many teachers register with Yoga Alliance, which sets standards such as 200-hour and 500-hour programmes. Before you join any course, ask whether it leads to a certificate, who issues it, and whether it prepares you for YCB or Yoga Alliance assessment. Arogyam Sutra will confirm this for its own course when you enquire.

Learn from an experienced team

Will I get a certificate?

Please ask the clinic. Details of any certificate, who issues it and how it relates to Yoga Certification Board or Yoga Alliance standards are shared on enquiry.

Is the course online or at the clinic?
